About DodgeBlock:

DodgeBlock is a game developed almost completely by Othello7 with credit to The_King_of_Ducks for the animated start screen and main Icon. It's a color text based game in which the player tried to dodge falling blocks by moving left and right. Usually, the whole game is controlled from the arrow keys. In normal mode, collect bonus points to get +50 score. Wanna play with a friend? Invite your friend to play on WSAD with 2 player with two player mode! The half-cooperative dual play version of DodgeBlock. Sadly DodgeBlock is programmed in C#, so it only works on Microsoft Windows.

1.6.0 DodgeBlock for Everyone:
After years, something thought impossible has finally come true; DodgeBlock for Linux and MacOS. In addition the mobile port has been significantly boosted in features. A few things that were long in the making such as the FPS being displayed and regulated and the the DrMario tune I made being added in.

-Buffed Blaster to have 5 ammo instead of 3.
-Added FPS counter and management.
-Added DrMario tune.
-Updated Credits.
-Mobile now reads Settings.txt.
-Mobile now has New Controls.

1.5.0 I'm alive?:
Many pro 'Blockers have complained about the boring task of moving through the slow blocks through the first 2/3 of the game. This feature should help with that. For Classic Mode and Expert mode you now achieve Checkpoints. In an attempt to be more inclusive we have also renamed the Christmas Event to Winter event.

-Added Checkpoints for Classic Mode and Expert Mode.
-Fixed a random crash.
-Fixed bug with the Winter Event cutscene in 4:3.
-Fixed bug with the version checking system.
-Renamed Christmas Event to Winter Event to be more inclusive.

1.4.0 Customize Your Mode!:
This update was quite an old idea, having a mode which the player could make. The new Custom Mode features four new settings in a brand new submenu in the Settings Menu. With these you can change the size, dificulty, and speed of the game. In adition, DodgeBlock can now connect to the website dodgeblock.cf to get basic info like whether there is a new update or not. You will need to use the new Settings.txt. The old one is not compatible.

-Added Custom Mode.
-Added four Custom Mode settings.
-Added DodgeBlock home site connection feature to allow DodgeBlock to see if there is a new update.
-Updated Settings Menu Style.

1.3.0 Attack and Defense:
Its been a long time coming but finally I added Blaster and Shield to the game. This was not and easy task, but it was worth it. And now everyone should rush to Normal Mode because it should be easier to get a high score.

-Added Blaster Power-Up.
-Added Shield Power-Up.
-Changed Two Player Mode to be a Game Mode, instead of a switch.
-Changed death animation so that it would only display the board.
-Removed Color Mode switch (color is always on).
-Removed Two Player Mode switch.
-Fixed the flickering that would occur on the "Soup" Secret Code button while playing.


1.2.1 Music to my ears:
Its time to break out the old beeptunes! Thats right, I have scoured the internet for music played using Console.Beep and collected what I've found into a neat menu where you can listen to it all while playing DodgeBlock.

-Added Music Selector to the Settings Menu.
-Added 7 extra songs.


1.2.0 Are you an Expert?:
This update finally adds some content, a mode, Expert Mode! If you thought DodgeBlock on Normal Mode was hard, your gonna wish to go back to that after trying this. This new mode features extra blocks, a lot of them.

-Added Expert Mode.
-Added to the Settings Menu, Reset High Score.
-Made TwoPlayerMode a non-restart setting.
-Fixed bug where while color mode was off, whenever the settings menu was opened, the size would progressively get smaller.
-Fixed bug where the game would crash without text in Settings.txt

1.1.0 Full Transition of DodgeBlock to WinForms:
I quickly Discovered RTF codes and figured out how to add colors, and change the size even, from the string before I write it to the screen. It took a long time to make sure there wasnt any color tags poking out while color mode was off, but now the game fully functions.

-Added colors to the forms port.
-Added auto-scaling in color mode.
-Fixed screen flashing in color mode.
-Removed Qres ties.
-Removed ScreenResX & Y controlls from the settings menu.
-Removed Full-Screen Mode from the settings menu.
-Some features may be colored differently then they where in
the console version of DodgeBlock.
-MORE CLEANING UP and finally it works normally; a good release.


1.0.0 DodgeBlock Windows Forms Port:
DodgeBlock is now ported to Windows Forms which is because the console had a limited functionality and was causeing flashing on computers with less proccessing power. In adition, the RichTextBox also allows scaling of its text which means that DodgeBlock can now be correctly full-screened and no longer requires a resolution change. Sadly, it has no colors so far.

-Ported DodgeBlock to Windows Forms.
-Fixed screen flashing.
-Added auto-scaling.
-Cleaned up EVERYTHING THAT HAD ERRORS!

-Fixed Bug where it would not flash for BonusPoints
power up while Color Mode was off.

Thats right. Power-Ups have been added.
or for that matter, just one. Now you can
try and collect BonusPoints while dodging the
blocks. The game also now has God Mode which is
newly availible in the settings menu. while God
Mode is enabled you do not gain score.
